pc to tv

I have connected my pc to the pc in socket on my tv, using a vga cable but my tv shows ( no signal ) can anyone tell me why, and what I am doing wrong

You'll need to consult your manual and see how you can change the TV input - probably using one of the AV channels.

have you switched on the VGA output on your laptop, probably with a combination of holding down the fn key and pressing one of the f keys.
