any idea what a gurgling stomach and slight pain on on the bottom left might be?

well if stomach is gurgling and bowel movements are normal is unlikely to be serious in a 26 year old, but if in doubt get it checked especially if any change to bowel habits longer than 3 weeks. Could equally be IBS , if pain persists they must see GP.

gurgling normally accompanies loose stools, most common reason is usually trapped wind

Yes indeed and docs say if zero stomach noise and sensations of movement then more need to be concerned. Plus stress and worry can increase the sensations you describe too.
