Tansfering VHS tape to DVD...?
3 Answers
I've got some home movies I made of my kids growing up on VHS tape and my old video recorder has finaly given up the ghost. Does anyone know of a company that could transfer my old tapes onto DVD discs? I dont want to buy a new video recorder as they are soon becoming obsolete and I dont have a DVD recorer as I already get by with a perfectly decent DVD player and Sky + box.. Any ideas would be gratefully received.

There are a few places advertising on the web transferring home vhs movies to DVD. Also take a look at your local camera / photography shop as they may also offer this service. 15 for 3 hours here
http://www.transfervideo.co.uk/
or 10 per hour
http://www.transfer2.co.uk/Prices.asp
Cheapest way is to borrow the equipment from family or friends and DIY.

http://www.video-to-dvd.co.uk appear to be the main people and best priced. They did my VHS karate collection laste year. Ten quid a tape it was.
