The West coast of Scotland - for sheer beauty, it's unbeatable in the U.K. Some of the entire planet's finest scenery, and relativley few Brits have ever bothered to see it.

I love the Lake District and some places in Scotland like Lochearnhead, Fort William and Stirling just for the scenery and I love York and Glasgow for shopping and nights out x

Verulamium (sp?) in St Albans is amazing. You stand looking at a mosaic floor thinking 'i can't believe people lived and used this floor 2000 years ago'. And its free. Or really cheap anyway.

I totally agree with The New Forest, and all the places in and round it, Beaulieu, Lymington, Milford, Southampton, Bournemouth, Salisbury. I could spend a lot of time in all those places.

Perthshire in Scotland. The scenery is stunning - places such as Kenmore, Pitlochry, Dunkeld and the surrounding areas.

The Gower peninsular, South Wales, fantastic, I can go there any time.

The Forest of Bowland (so quiet, hardly anybody knows about it) with spectacular scenery and great birdwatching.

The London Eye (good once)

The North Antrim coast, in Northern Ireland.  Absolutly stunning, any time of year, with it's deserted beaches and cliffs and caves, and the Gaint's Causeway.

There are plenty of beautiful hotels, guest houses and pubs to stay in, like the 16th century Bushmills Inn.  There is also the oldest distillery in the world at Bushmills.

I'm a Scot living in England and am so surprised to find how few English people have been to see how fantastically beautiful Scotland is! (I am biased, of course!!). West coast is beautiful, and I find the North East is also particularly stunning. You just can't beat a trip up the west via Fort William. Breath-taking.! Ah...

My place of refuge is Abbotsbury in Dorset, especially walking along the mighty Chesil Beach after a storm.

We would give anything to be able to visit Scotland, but the cost of getting  there as well as staying is way above our means. Very sad.

You got in before me,Lucky Strike! I always love going to the North Antrim coast.Have done so since a child,and never tire of those views around the White Rocks area.Would always recommend Dunluce Castle too,although nearly got into a war of words with an American tourist who was loudly calling it"just a bunch of old rocks!"

Bath. - for the Roman Baths.

Oxford - for going around the college buildings.

Brickhill, Bedford. - because its a quaint little place with cobblestone roads.
