abortions vs eating meat

ok so i would never contemplate any of them but many of you on here do. so i ask which do you 'caring' people think is the most humane? i look forward to hearing some very hypocritical views.

This is actually a very interesting question but ultimately its a matter of personal choice.
I choose not to eat meat as i agree that the rearing of animals simply to provide a highly inefficient food source is inhumane and illogical. Its also unnecessary.
However I would also totally defend the right of a woman to end a pregnancy if it is their choice that this is the right thing for them to do. I believe the current abortion laws set the right level.
Farm animals have no rights nor any say in what happens to them though they are fully formed sentient beings. A fetus is not fully formed nor sentient until a very long way into the pregnancy. This is an essential difference and the reason your question does not make a realistic comparison.
I do realise that my views will inevitably upset some people and there are some who will argue vehemently against what i have said. Some may agree. That is the nature of a hypothetical debate.

richard. i really relate to you on this subject. u have satisfied my thirst for some decent valued human being out there. i just seriously wish i could put my points of view across as you did without people thinking im 'winding them up'
