Also not sure if could use cd rom at library - library said I could try it but if it doesn't work then I won't be able to get a refund from learn direct.
no there isn't any financial help for me but i'm not worried about spending the money its just if I spend it then can't use the cd rom its a waste as can't get refund. Learn Direct haven't been helpful - I sent an email - no reply- posted on the forum - no reply and phoned them but they couldn't help me
Perhaps it's not so much a lack of confidence, surely you're scared to do something new? You won't know if you don't try. Lots of jobs offer full training at the lower end of the scale and are glad to take on someone with little or no experience, as this means they are cheaper to employ. I was always quite shy but I applied for a job (that if i'm honest I didn't fully understand what it was), and got it. I'd chucked myself in the deep end of media sales!!
Also, when you do get applying, don't be disheartened by a lack of communication from them, just apply for loads more.
If you're an admin assistant, how long have you been doing it? Is there no potential to move up within the company? What's your dream?

Theres no potential to move up but I want to stay in admin but just find something a bit more busier so I'm more occupied. I'm keeping an eye out and will apply it all just takes so long and its frustrating and then I get put off and think I wouldn't be able to do it anyway from being shy and no confidence

hm...then maybe your best bet would be to make appointments with Recruitment Agencies, they see all your potential and then match you to the perfect position and contact you when something comes up. If you're shy that'll come across in the meeting and they'll work around it, but at the end of the day, it's all about your experience and potential - you just have to put yourself out there, first step.
No one likes looking for a new job but it's a necessary evil, just go for it, jump in feet first and you'll be glad you did :)
