Real Fur?

I have been given an old fur jacket. The person does not know if it is real fur or not. It is about 20 years old but in perfect condition.There are no labels in it. I have had a piggle at a seam to reveal the fabric. It looks like skin but not sure.How can I tell if it is real fur or a good fake.

spread back the fur and if it looks like suede its real.

It may be coney fur if it is about 20 years old, they were really really big fashion wise from about 1979/80 for maybe 2-3 years. Is it honey coloured maybe? They are really soft to touch, a fake fur is alot more brittle when you stroke the fur back. BTW Coney is a rabbit
