i have a ford puma which overheated and blew the head gasket, the gasket has been replaced, the head skimmed, the thermostat replaced and the car runs well, but it is now prone to intermittent airlocks in the cooling system which causes the heater to fail, and sometimes send the water temperature rising, does anyone how i can get rid of these airlocks?

Zetec engines have always had problems regarding air-locks, there is sequence in bleeding them out, you may well have to ring a dealer for info or any local garage should be able to tell you
