Help! I've just put my Sony Ericsson mobile through programme number 5 in the washing machine!!! Has anyone done this and managed to save their phone? I've took the battery, sim and memory card out and right now it's on a radiator but any tips/suggestions would be gratefully received.
If you have house contents insurance you may have to phone the company and ask to put in a claim for accidental damage.............I doubt the mobile will work again :(
oh and here is a good tip, if you go rummaging in your wifes shoe boxes, see if you can find any silica gel sachets, if you do, put them on the phone's soft part where the battery goes to absorb the moisture that may be in the paper covering where it gives you the numbers of the phone etc.
sorry last time i dropped mine in the loo it died and i had to have a new one sent out...... (sim was ok though) and my mate did exactly the same sat night and hers is dead too
The fact that the phone did a whole washing machine cycle (not just dropped in the loo etc) means it was immersed for quite a long time,possibly also exposed to heated water,and of course whatever detergent you used.Sony Ericsson don't exactly make robust phones either...I know that from experience and from sitting here looking at the one I have that is just used for texting and storing numbers since it was dropped a few weeks ago ; ;
I hope you manage to get yours working again.
