To let agreements

Does anybody know if, when you let a property and get a standardised letting agreement signed how easy or hard the terms of the agreement are to enforce if you have customised the agreement to include other not so standard safeguards. Basically does the agreement in whatever shape or form stand as a fully enforceable contract.
