lodger out staying welcome!

well basically, there is a spare room in the house, in 2006 my dad was doing a favor for his friend by letting his neice stay at ours for a year. Today she is still here, she has been here for over 2 years now, i keep tellin my dad to get rid of her but all he says is she will be going dont worry. He still wont say anything though!!! i think he is too scared. any1 got any easier ways to get rid of her?
