My ex husband and I have been separated for nearly nine years, but never got divorced ( I know!!!!!!).
I now am looking at doing this but want to do it myself without a solictor. I know the county court near me handles them but does anyone have any much it costs to to do it this way, you know, what court fees are to be paid etc........I don't think I'm entitled to any discount of costs. TIA

I did mine myself and I think it cost about �300. (a few years ago,and my ex just agreed to everything)

you need to get an application pack from your local family court. it has all the forms and advice you'll need.

my bruv did it for �200 2y ago in the local courts without solicitors. The Maj/judge forced his wife to sell the home within 6mts and split the proceeds 50-50. His wife had hired solicitors at �4k and had to pay her own fees. All done & dusted within one month!

My divorde 5 years ago cost 300 quid with a solicitor

my divorce, down a more traditional route of solicitors etc cost me �1800!!!!
