Lnobbs, I didn't mean to sound like you were thick (ahem ;o) ), only because my ipod is so slender and I can't see how it would come apart to get a new battery in it, so wondered if it was another brand of MP3.
5 years is pretty old in today's technology right enough, I think you should part with �60 for a new one too :o)
