boot disc

I was going to make a boot disc using backup on my xp pro ,but it tells me I need a floppy drive which I havent got ,I had the panel open putting more memory in the other day but I couldnt see any connector on the mother board ,which is an ( Asrock Conroe 1333 d667 R1 dual channel )so could I use an old defunct pc windows install disc if the worst happened

no such ting as an XP footdisk (not like you mean anyway

the install cd is a bootdisk ... you use it for the whole partitioning, format and install process

you want a bootable CD - google ultimate bootdisk or windows PE
footdisk ??????
well I suppose boots go on feet ...!
you can also use one of the linux distros as a startup

Oh dear what have I got myself into google ultimate linux distros windows pe ,should never have nosed about in that backup thing ,I suppose I got cocky after the memory success ,ah well we live and learn

as long as you have the install disc ... no worries

if you keep important stuff on there ... back it up regularly
that way - with the install disc and backup you won't need one
