There's a story on a local website that I can imagine is going to cause a bit of ruccus, especially because parking is a big issue here.
What are your thoughts??

Parking Ticket Waived for Footballer
When a premiership footballer comes to town one would expect him to be treated the same as any other motorist, but obviously not when it comes to parking tickets.
A premiership footballer left his Range Rover parked in Market Street, Southport, over night and at 11:15am this morning it was about to be issued with a fixed penalty fine for not displaying a valid parking ticket.
The manager of a nearby hotel rushed over to intervene and pleaded with the attendant not to issue a ticket before calling her boss.
She contacted her senior officer Malcolm Ball via radio who told her not to issue the vehicle a ticket.
The parking attendant told Onthespot that the vehicle should have been issued with a ticket but she had orders not give one out.
