do u think u will be able to get to work tomorrow ? my sons school is shut again tomorrow .:( another boring day stuck at home.i use to love snow dont think i do no more ! .
The school where I work is closed tomorrow so we have been told not to go in as the site staff will be clearing the snow (all these Health & Safety concerns!). I have brought work home to do as I have lots of people to contact about the closure.
I may well go to work tomorrow. A 4 mile walk, and logistically unnecessary, but a chance to experience a bit of history and take some photos of the bleakest areas of South London wilderness (i.e. Mitcham Common golf course)
I'm a bit unsure about driving bu i have had a brill idea, I'm going to get up at 6am and if is is opk I will go back to bed, if it is bad i will make a flask of coffee, pack the car with a torck, wellies, spade, duvet, butties, kendal mint cake, crampons, ice axe, caribenas (sp) and a whistle, oh and a miniature brandy, round the St Bernards neck, i should be ok.
I have just had confirmation that our place is closed and that we are NOT to go near the place so have been phoning round the groups who come in on Tuesdays. I do have some work to do at home but whether I do it is another matter
As far as I know school is open, unless it snows really bad in the night, so I will be in work.
Was hoping that the school was going to shut today but nope, problem is if I start cooking then school closes I have to hang around to feed the ones who are dinners and can't get home till after lunch, so no skin off my nose really if it shuts or not, just means my kids have to hang around school till I finish so not so great for them lol
A trudge down the hill isn't unsurmountable.. So yes I shall be at work tomorrow.. unless the heating breaks in the church hall which means a trip to McArthur Glenn!!! yay!!
You don't pay me out of your taxes stompe - my part has to be self funding so if we don't make money we don't have jobs. So cancellations because of snow lose us money
