What did your Mum and Dad wear on the beach years ago? where you ashamed of them?
Do you see anything wrong in this day and age with the exposure of acres of aged flesh wobbling about on the sand?
Comments please on bikinis, thongs, and knee length shorts! (Yuck!)
Hanky on head as well, as trousers rolled up!

LOL craft1948, I had a 'bubble wrap' swimsuit too! Have a lovely picture of myself as a skinny 9 year old in 1956 in a bubble wrap swimsuit and a rubber swimming hat, posing on the beach!!!
craft: I had a navy swimsuit when I was about 3 - it looked like the bubble-wrap suit you described - ruched & really quite sweet. There's a photo of me in it sat on the side of the pool (we were post - we had our own pool - with seats on the corner!). I had my legs crossed with my hands between my legs - I was having a wee in the pool while the photo was being taken. I always wee'd in pools. thankfully I have grown out of that habit (well, especially since they put blue dye in pools to show us piddlers up for what we are...)
That's it ...bubble wrap ..lol...I was sat trying to think of how to describe the simsuit I had as a child that clung to you like a suction and left you with a pattern for hours after you took it off .
swimsuit*
Everyone peed in the pool - and then you used to swim like mad away from the yellow patch of water. And the rubber hats - oh bliss - you used to take them off and lose clumps of hair out of your head.
I wore bikins from aged about 15-35, then a swimsuit until about 57. Now I wear tankinis ('cos you can go to the loo quicker)
Day off today, postdog? I'm a postie too, it's my day off and it's pouring down today. You're right in what you say about the state of dress some women answer the door in. It's hardly ever the young attractive ones though is it?

My dad always wore trunks and looked great as he still does at 70. Mum was never much of a beach person.
oh they did bigmamma- the suction! You could drag the wet material out then ping it back. Memory Lane...

(The gusset of mine wore out rather quickly on mine though - mother could never make out why, when my sister's lasted three times as long. It was cos I was always having a wee through it....) ;-)
I wore bikines from about 15 - 35 and then went on to swimsuits because of a massive scar across my tum. Nowadays I don't even like beaches unless it's walking along them in the wintertime when they are empty.
oh god you wouldn't get me on a beach - well not in this country. I wear tankinis on cruises. The sort that has like a t-shirt top so you can't see any less than toned midriff.
I never even venture into a swimsuit nowadays even when abroad on holiday!! I pack one and it comes back unworn. T shirts and a short skirt are as skimpy as I go!!!
Yeah further to my last post, some can leave you gagging for it, but must are the biggest turn off going and just leave you gagging.

It's true tho - for some reason, we get to see things only their other halves should see.
My 'postperson' is a lady!
S'cuse my ignorance - what's a "tankini" ????
Ahhh - I've got one of them ! Didn't know that's what it was called tho' - thanx !
