My wipers are stuck in the wrong place after being frozen to screen?
Hi, I have a Peugeot 406. The problem is I tried to use my wipers to remove 3 inch's of snow and have now made them set in the wrong place, about 6 inch's to high, but they still go to the right height then back down to the right level at the bottom, but then settle to high, any help please?

Obviously It's parking somewhere midway, giving the inpression that it has spun on spline, but obviously my first idea must be wrong as both arms are unlikely to have slipped equally, So I will have another guess at the rotary crank under the bulkhead, Interesting.
Can you let us know the result, mfdinham thanks.

I dont think they are very expensive mfd, that being said it doesnt rule out it being the wiper motor itself, either the wiper motor is sending the relay the wrong signal or the relay is faulty.
you could try getting a relay from a scrap yard for a few quid and trying it to see if that repairs it, if it doesnt then its probably the wiper motor.
logic, if it was the rotary crank then there would be a lot of play in the wiper arms, the wipers would not give a full sweep, mfd said they were completing a full wipe and parking incorrectly
challenge...bring it on ;D
