pins and needles what can it be ?

please help guys i keep getting pins and needles predominantly in my right hand mostly in the thumb and fore finger. i get it at all times during night and day and its not when i lie on it what can it be ?

Could be lots of things but carpal tunnel syndrome springs to mind. Google it perhaps.

I've had the same thing & was told by a consultant that it was a 'pinched' nerve in my neck. I eventually had a cortisone injection in my neck, which stopped the pain, tingling & numbness in my arm & hand. Haven't had any problems since.

yep, could be many things. Certainly carpal tunnel is one possibility. I went through a time a good few weeks back when I woke every night with numbness in both hands & having been someone who has had surgery for carpal tunnel a good few years ago & twice in one hand!!! I thought, oh no, not this again but for some odd reason it just stopped and "touch wood" its a good few weeks since it last happened. one of life's mysteries I guess

it could be restless leg syndrom,or ms.it could be many differt things,so if it's making you worry please see your doctor.
