I think the sequence is something like this:
1. I have a cr@ppy system which runs so slowly that users post two or more times thinking that their post has been lost.
2. Solution - I can't be @rsed to upgrade the system so that it works properly, so I'll delete from the input queue all posts that in some tiny way look as if they have been posted before.
3. Whoops - I've deleted some brand new posts, but since most users know that the system doesn't work they won't know or care where they have gone.
4. Result - even more posts, with the canny ones changing the question a bit as they have sussed what I've done
Or am I being too cynical?
