Just been watching yet another cooking programme , yes I like them ...hee , and it never ceases to amaze me how very rare they cook the beef , pink beef seems to be the fashion . How rare do you like yours , if you do eat it that is . ? I like mine cooked through thoroughly , when I can eat it again :-) xxx

Good list.. i am a bit pedantic, and would possible add rare to medium to the list..its on the rare side,where medium rare is on the medium side!!

Gormless , I didn't think you should eat chickn not cooked through , be careful :-/
i couldnt eat rare as the blood puts me off. has to be well done for me.
When I was toddling my mother used to give me a raw bit of beef to chew on.

I do enjoy brisket well cooked though.
my clubs are itchy for a game knobbs, the weather is p****** me off no end!
when they ask me 'how would you like it done'....I say 'cremated please'.....otherwise I still find pink bits and cant eat it... :-((

Its ground/minced beef with various things in it like chopped gerkins, capers etc BM :o)
Forgot to add that its like eating a raw homemade burger.

Steak tartare is minced fillet steak, mixed with chopped capers, a raw egg yolk, a little chopped onion.....and then eaten raw.

Delicious!
I must be the only vegetarian around today lol...
