The ground floor of my house is almost entirely hardwood floor with the exception of the toilet (tiled) and the kids play room. Up until a couple of weeks ago, it still had the carpet that was there when we moved in and the kids had adorned it with dried in play slime etc. As they are getting a bit older, we decided to turn it into a games room, removed the sofa and got them fancy games chairs. At the same time we got a new carpet. We did think about putting in a wood floor the same as everywhere else, but went for carpet as we have a wii and I thought it would be gentler on their knee's when they are jumping about.

Anyway, my son had to be picked up from school as he wasn't feeling well, he came home and lay on the sofa in the living room watching a dvd. He felt a bit better so went through to the games room to get his DS and........

threw up all over the new carpet. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!

Bloody typical isn't it? The only room with a carpet and I have waited 5 years for a new one!

How annoying!

I once spent hundreds on a new carpet for eldest junior Overall's bedroom. After a night on the lash he was sick on it. Rather than tell me or clean it, he cut the pukey carpet out & rearranged the furniture thinking I wouldn't notice a 2ft x 3ft hole.
You could just spit couldn't you? Bloody kids, that is just SO typical - poor you!
oh no! thats sort of thing that happens in this house too.

I hope he feels better soon though
lol @ Mrs O!
Get a dog in. Dog'll eat anything. Puke gone!

I remember that story Mrs O - laughed about it for weeks.

pips and redcrx - The poor soul is now upstairs in my bed sleeping it off - he is on the top bunk usually but I didn't fancy cleaning it up if he threw up from up there!!

I actually feel a bit guilty, 'cos he took one look at my face and said "sorry Mum, i didn't feel it coming" he is only 7 - poor scone!

McMouse - the cat took one look and walked off - anyone fancy a part exchange for a non fussy dog!!

Don't feel guilty pips - you can tell i've calmed down now!!

I hope he is better soon as well, I have too much to do tomorrow at work to take more time off - I took stuff home with me today, but I have meetings and need to be in tomorrow. I'm lucky this is the first time either of mine have been off school for nearly 2 years.

I think I can hear some stirring from upstairs so unless it's the cat gone up to annoy him, he is maybe awake.
