Why is there so much of it on TV this morning?

Last week I discovered a fantastic show on beeb2 called Sunday Past Times, about old TV clips. Now it isn't on.  My life would be so much easier if I actually liked the beautiful game.

Blame the Pope. Football on ITV is always on between 9.30 and 10.30 on a Sunday morning. However, due to the live inauguration of the Pope on BBC1, their repeat of Match of The Day - that is normally aired at about 8.30 - has been shifted to a later slot on BBC2. Result - some of BBC2's shows being moved to other time slots, or postponed to later date...
