I am going on holiday shortly and have no-one to feed my fish, is there anything I can buy to put in the tank that will feed them over the week and not all at once?

Yes.  If you’re only going for a week then there is a block of food that you can buy from most pet shops.  I’m not sure how it works, but I used it a couple of times for my fish and they were none the worse for my holiday.

Many thanks, will go to the Pet Shop tomorrow.
I am under the impression that fish will be ok if not fed for a week or two.

Well-looked after fish will be fine for two weeks without feeding. They'll be hungry when you get back though!

Those slow-release block things are generally not recommended by anyone except those who make them or sell them. They can affect the water quality and can sometimes cause problems rather than preventing them.

Can I ask what type of fish you are keeping

I take it they are not Marine
yes you can buy food sticks and they realise a coulple of bits of food a day cos it worked with my fish
