what has my mouse done

hi my mouse now has a hand where before it was an arrow. it means i cannot copy select and hightlight anything instead it has the hand and moves the page up and down. i have not installed anything

and have checked the mouse setup..

any ideas??

Press the Esc key....there's a conflict. If that doesn't work try Ctrl/Alt/delete to cancel the current activity.

if that hasn`t worked, go into control panel and select mouse/pointing devices Click that and select normal.

hi i lied it looked like it had worked, but it didn't

and checked the pointer is already set to normal

basically it is an arrow when it is rest anywhere were there is not text, but when you move it over text or somethign you wnt to hightlight it is the curved hand. the one you use to grab a page and move up and down not the hand it turns to when you move over a link.

i am not sure what to do?
