My better half is convinced that the killer is one of the
characters in the programme , due to the fact that the killers
face has never been shown. She has told me who she thinks it is . I wonder if she is right? Good TV though.

It's usually the least suspected and the most innocent-looking one. I suspect it's the cute guy in the station called Kent - looks as though butter wouldn't melt, and helps supply the D.I. with chalk - so, obvious, innit??!

I think they are trying to make it look like it could be Phill Daniels' character, but my bet would be either the cute young guy as Salla suggests, or another ITV drama speciality where they bring a new character in ten minutes from the end and pin everything on them without an explaination as to why they weren't in the rest of the programme.

I agree with Sqad. Is the Commissioner the person who's talking to the Ripperologist on the chat line - is the Ripperologist in league with him because he wants to recreate the whole scenario - and did the Ripperologist create the diversion in Mitre Square to give him the opportunity to remove the body from the garage? Oooo...... the plot thickens! Probably totally wrong, but great stuff.
