Spark Plug Leads Too Long?!!
The spark plug leads on my mkIV fiesta are leaking. All the spares parts stores in my country do not stock parts for my car but one supplier have a set of leads that are quite identical except they are twice the length of the original. i was told that leads that are too long can cause hesitation because the current flow has to take a longer distance to travel. it was then suggested that cutting the leads to the correct length will solve the problem. my question is can the leads work just as is and if have to cut them will they be jus as effective without any downsides.
