I think the distinction the BBC makes is that news happened today, current affairs are ongoing. But a highly sophisticated platform like AB 2.0 won't need the distinction. Shouldn't think it will need ChatterBank either, though if it wants to keep it for sentimental reasons it could be outsourced to Bangalore.
