Jayne's handbag thread
15 Answers
Recently, I have been (good naturedly) rebuked for my blokey Sports posts, and for ignoring the important issue of "handbags" ...
... so I am redressing the balance ...
... because today, I bought a bag ... tah daaaah !!
Okay, I did have a bit of a skive today. I went for lunch with T2. We went to Yo Sushi in Selfridges, and then sat at the Champagne and Oyster Bar, getting a bit trolleyed.
And then ...
Oh, look ... have you seen the "adult humour" greetings cards there? They are so funny. We were laughing so much, my stomach hurt. I bought 2 cards. One says "You know you're old when all your friends smell of p i ss" and the other is a picture of an air hostess holding some Champagne, and it says "Happy Birthday. Now fu ck off back to Economy".
Well, I liked them.
Oh yes, the bag. We were heading out of the Food Halls, and there's a section of Jimmy C bags ... not really my taste, but we were playing with them, and there was a bag that we thought one of our friends would absolutely love ... so we bought it for her. It's a bit chunky, but it's so "her" and we're really pleased with it.
Then we got the train back to Brighton (hoorah) and spent the rest of the afternoon in The Cricketers.
So ... a hard working day all round ...
=0)
Ooh ... the reference to The Cricketers doesn't count as "Sport" does it ?
