I see you've asked this question in two sections and still no answers. My problem, living, as I do, in the U.S. (and I consider myself an expert on live Maine lobsters or lobstahs as heard anywhere north of the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse on Muscongus Bay, State of Maine) is determining if you mean a live lobster or a frozen, packaged lobster tail.
In the first case the lobster is popped into rapidly boiling water (in which a bag of carefully prepared herbs has been previously placed) and taken out just as the lobster turns thoroughly bright red. Simple as that. In the second case, I wouldn't have a clue since I never touch faux lobster...
