I had a fight when i was drunk in a bar last weekend, i cannot remember who started the fight or even why but i know that i was definately hit by the guy and I hit him several times also. My punches resulted in him having a cut beneath his eye, his resulted in me having a bruised eye for several days after. I was held by the door staff because the guy wanted to press charges, the police were going to be an hour all I did was leave my name with the bouncers and I assume he did too. Ive now been asked to go to the police station to be arrested and interviewed formally. What is the likely outcome of this case? It is my first offence and completely unlike me to fight at all and I would like to avoid a conviction if possble. Tomorrow the policeman said is just to get my side of the story and the liklihoos i will be bailed.

Hi Benedg4, if you really cannot remember what happened then I suggest you get yourself a solicitor, so that he can find out what witnesses are saying - what happened at the police station - have you been charged?
why are the police are interested in this handbags incident? why don't they go and fight some real crime !
your mom should have just sent you to bed with no tea.
