Children sharing bedrooms

I have a 14 year old son and a 9 week old baby girl and live ina 2 bedroom council flat. I appreciate my abby girl can share with me up untill she is one but after that is it assumed she can share with her older brother or would i legally have to be re housed?

There is no legal requirement to re-house you as it is assumed that one of the other rooms in the property(lounge for example) could be used as a bedroom for either you or one of the children.
The council is under no obligation to rehouse you - after all it was your choice to have another baby. There is no reason whatsoever why she can't share a room with you.

And you daughter can legally share with a member of the opposite sex until the youngest is 10, but as they are siblings it will be considered 'natural growth' when she reaches 10 and will not be overcrowding.

Hey, Ethel, thats a bit harsh! (after all it was your choice to have another baby.)

If you want another baby then why should you hold back just because you are worried you will not get re-housed.
Just keep pestering them & bidding & you'll get there in the end.
