hello. i found out 2day im around 6wks pregnant, but i keep getting like period pains in the lower of my stomach, could this be just wind or something else? any help apreshiated.

Hi Laura, congratulations.

I had the same pains at around 6weeks, as well as lower back pains. Usually this is what many say are implantation pains and are quite normal.

If you are concerned or have any spotting or bleeding, speak to your GP.

Congrats!! Yeah I also had these in the sides of my lower stomach. As velvetee says, I think its normal. So long as the pain is not really bad.

Hi, i too had these pains, i took a test and it was positive, but i was convinced i was gonna come on coz it was just like my period ache i got right as i was about to start.
Was really worrying and uncomfortable, but all was fine.. she is now 9 yrs old x Good luck and congratulations xx

hello & congratulations to you & your partner.

I think that its best you go to your doctor as I had lower pain that turned out to be an ectopic pregnancy. of course, i dont want to worry or scare you but it would be best to get your self checked out.

I ALSO HAD LOWER PAIN WHEN I WAS PREGNANT WITH MY SON & IT WAS JUST TRAPPED WIND, SO YOUR PROBABLY FINE, but just get checked out.
