being bought out of a property

just seperated from my sons dad and own a house with him. the house is half mine but im wanting to know if he buys me out , if im entitled to half of the value or half the equity in the property

Are you married?
Are you named on the mortgage and deeds?
If you are then I think you are only entitled to half of the equity of the house, not half the value.
Right for unmarried couples are different. but someone will advise you fully on here I am sure.
If he is buying you out he is taking on your share of the mortgage as well, so if you are on the deeds and mortgage you are entitled to half the equity.
