Duffy's eyebrows !!
37 Answers
I've just been out for my Guardian.
On the front page, there's a close up of Duffy (God knows why!).
Cripes, guys !!!!! ... Have you seen those eyebrows ???
And her jawline !!!
Is she a man in drag?
If not, then she needs to spend more time at the salon.

It is truly horrible, and the fact she's been showered with awards confirms the country is in mass hypnosis regarding this overrated artist. Nails on blackboard, yes... with elements of a Diddyman being slowly strangled, or Orville being tortured. How can anyone say she has a "great voice"? When she does that drawn-out, false-sounding vibrato in Rain On Your Parade, she sounds like a bad Jimmy Saville impersonation. Oh but of course she sounds a bit RETRO and that's SO cool isn't it? Proof that millions of people CAN be wrong.
Ah well, never mind - balance will be restored when her career is wheezing its dying breath, probably around the time of her 3rd album when we've all woken up and cottoned on to the fact she's rubbish.

Why, Jayne? Why? By definition you must also like the sound of air escaping from a lilo!
I'm the other way around - I don't mind the eyebrows.
Sometimes when I don't like something, I at least think, well I can see why so many people do. With the Duffer, I just don't see how anyone with a working set of ears can find that thin weedy voice any good. And as a live performer - she's stiff & wooden and the voice, exposed and unadorned, is even worse. The let's-go-for-the-60s-sound just seems mechanical and cynical. Some of those things you can argue are opinions, but she HAS got a thin nasal wobbly voice that sounds even worse live - fact. And yet she's garlanded with awards. It's mass hysteria.
