101. What is the name of the genus of tropical South American plants, cultivated for their blue, white or violet five-lobed flowers, which is named after an 18th century Swedish botanist?

This is my last question!
Any help would be appreciated, I have two names but neither fulfill all criteria.

From wikipedia... Billbergia is a genus of the botanical family Bromeliaceae, subfamily Bromelioideae. The genus is named for the Swedish botanist, zoologist, and anatomist Gustaf Johan Billberg.

There have been previous discussions involving yourself about giving answers to quizzes (EST quiz for example)

This answer in the Learnburn took AGES to find and now it is freely available to everyone with no effort whatsoever.

Do you agree with giving away questions to quizzes or not?

Well, What's the prize - Nothing!
The Quizmasters haven't said don't use AB or other forums and I simply don't care.
So far I only know of The Listener, GBQ, GFQ and EST where The Quiz Setters have asked that forums not be used.

My answer came out of my head and I didn't check it anywhere. I just grow the plants I suggested. and know that Linnaeus and Blow are botanists because they featured in a pub quiz. I don't even know what it means by lobes.
YOU are implying my guess is correct.
IF I was doing the quiz it's probably quite simple to find the names of Swedish Botanists in wikipedia or an RHS book and work from that.
Why are you on this thread QuizmasterG and shawnee if you aren't looking for answers?

Perhaps if I started to apply double standards and started posting answers to GFQ questions the girl might change her mind (again)

Thanx for your help, I am fairly new to this site but I do not think you should let QG bully you for that is what they are doing! If this site cannot be used for help where all else has failed then I do not know what it is here for!!!
Why shouldn't Learn Burns be posted?
I am sure if the quiz compilers do not object then no-one else should, it goes to show some people just read this site so that they can be objectional.

I entered Quizmail from the mid 1990s and I could win a lot of dosh but when AnswerBank was invented suddenly everyone got full marks because tthe answers were displayed for all to see , even googlers.
All last year when I discovered AB I was moaning non stop about cheating.
Just this month I thought I'd help someone without wearing the grumpy hat as there's NO prize money however I can see that there is the accolade of coming top so I won't even make a comment about LearnBurn questions.

I am not bullying - I try to be as polite as possible.

The Quizmail contest went out the window because too many answers were appearing on this site and others.

I know it is an answer site but once a question is answered it is in the public domain for everyone to see, it is not like asking someone on the office / pub / club etc.

I am sure it can and will continue be be used when all else has failed (even with a full week to go!) but I don't have to agree with it.

Perhaps the Quizmasters do not want to mention these sites in case they advertise their presence thus causing more problems!
