The young girl who burned herself after going on a sunbed for 19 minutes, and her mother has the nerve to blame the sunbeds owners, were there was clear signs that no one under 16 should use them, she was 14, also the amount of time you should spend on a sunbed, her mother told her not to use them which she clearly ignored, also ignored all the signs, her mother wants to blame the sunbed owner, take some responsibilty for your own actions young lady, makes me laugh though the mother is a health and safety officer!!!

she probably put her daughter up to it , so that she could sue the company,
puddicat....in the UK today somebody, anybody is to blame.
It's all about money these days.
I think the mother has said the daughter is partly responsible. I don't think she is actually wanting anything from the tanning salon daughter used but highlighting that really these unmanned salons should not exist and the law should be changed - any silly person can wander in and cause themselves all sorts of damage then take up the time of NHS staff!
If I heard rightly on GMTV interview this morning she put no blame on the owners and said her daughter knew exactly what she was doing was wrong
sunbeds are for idiots.

She is reponsible for her own actions, going in underage, ignoring the warning signs, and worst of all going on for that length of time, its not far off being a nanny state as it is,common sense is sadly lacking these days!!!
Yes and her mother said that this morning
but the owners must take some blame as they let her in, all sunbeds owners should ask for ID
It was an unmanned booth shop type thing. Can't say I have ever seen them before.
yes they should ask for ID, sunbeds age the skin, maybe the dozy girl looks 30 now
I agree with everything you said puddicat.

Even tho she had all the required imformation given to her,is a child that is under 16 legally considered to be responsible for her actions.? Is she deemed to be mature enough to make the corrrect judgement on this???
I would think that if the law says she does not have the necessary maturity, then the mother has no choice but to blame the sunbed owner, who has a duty of care for his custumers.
