Tights and a Tennis Ball!

I was trying to explain to my daughter, about a game we used to play in the seventies, where we would put a tennis ball into the leg of an old pair of tights, tie a knot in it and stand against a wall, bouncing the ball against the wall and alternating this with little dancy movements and singing songs to the rhythm of the bouncing. Did this game have a name and does anyone remember any of the songs used? I can only remember something like,''.....Ten little doggies came knocking at the door.'' Thanks!

We used to play this but with an old sock!!! Can't remember any of the songs either sorry!

Did your lovely mum -hellooo smudge - go potty listening to all that banging on the wall?! Mine did when we did it in the 70's. Don't remember any songs but I do recall the bruises!! ('specially when the end of the tights wore into a hole & someone's ball flew out & smacked you!)

Reminds me of a game we played in basic training, except it was a few bars of soap in a sock and we called it a blanket party. Oh, the poor guy.
