Showing At 14 Weeks!

Hi, I know I ask so many questions!

However, I'm in my 14Th week & I now can't do my trousers up & have quite a bump already. I'm not a large person, always been a size 10 & it's merely just my bump.

Is it normal to have a big'ish bump at 14 weeks??

Hi K82, I think it varies from person to person - I was 5ft8 and a 12-14 before I was pregnant and didn't show until I was nearly 7months, then sprouted alot and ended up having a baby weighing nearly 9lb!!! My sister in law is a much smaller frame, probably size 8-10 and only 5ft2, and she has been huge since very early. Another friend of mine was showing from very early, 12 weeks she looked pregnant, but went on to have a 7lb baby.

I think as long as you are well and your midwife is happy then there is nothing to worry about. You may find that you don't seem to grow for weeks, then all of a sudden in th space of one night it has shot out again! I also found it depended how baby was laying as to whether I looked enormous, or just had a delicate bump!

i showed from about 14 weeks with my first and with my second my trousers didnt do up from about 6 weeks,

Thanks guys, I'm just new to it all & lots of people say that it varies. I don't carry too much excess weight so wonder if that's why it shows up more?! Anyhow thanks again x

A long time ago for me but it was quite ridiculous but by the 10th week I couldn't do trousers up and had to go into loose fitting things making me feel a bit silly as people must have thought..'She can't really need those yet' but I did!

Obviously everyone is different.

I was showing at 8 weeks and people have sinced asked if I'm having twins, as my bump looks big for 23 weeks, looks more like 28 weeks.

As others have said, it varies from person to person. Another girl, where I work is about 2 weeks ahead of me with her pregnancy and is hardly showing at all.

I was showing very slightly from around 11-12 weeks so by 14 weeks I had a definite bump although it was a small one!
My friend who was pregnant at the same time didn't show until she was really far on. Every one is different.

I showed in all 3 of my pregnancies from 10 weeks,I am a size 8 ordinarily so any slight weight gain is very noticable on me.

Yep it deffo varies from woman to woman. you've gotta take into account your height and weight2.
im very tall, about 5'11 and have always been slim, weighing about 9stone before i was pregnant.
My bump has always being very small, people would ask how far gone i was and when i told them, they'd be like "really, where at?" lol
I'll be 30weeks gone on wed and ive finally got a noticable bump :)

My friend said she didn't have a bump atall. The at 7 and a half months the baby turned and her belly popped out. She said it was really creepy.

I was a size 10-12 and had a bump i couldn't fit in my work trousers by about 8 weeks!! I'm almost 40 weeks now and i am huge!!!!
