Anybody know the healthy reading of your cholesterol. I was told last week mine was 6.5 and she said it was high. My friend told me you need to do a reading on a fasting stomach but I was just after my breakfast. It was a private gym thingmajig.

Total cholesterol reading is of little value........you must find out the level of HDL and LDL.

The doctors insist on a 12 hour fast before they do a test.
There is no charge.

It doesn't sound like your place know what they bare doing.
Did they charge you?

no they did not charge me - it was just a girl who had learned about gym equipment and how to use the cholesterol machine - does not know what she is doing - must get it properly done at the doctors - my nurse can do it I am sure.
