I've not done nothing so don;t blame me
:o)
Loved what you did there, Cat!

I have been to parts of the world and met people who have never even been to these shores, and yet they speak a far superior level of English that the vast majority of our indigenous linguistic retards!

Prime example in the CBB house when Danielle-no-brains-Lloyd said of Shilpa Shetty, "She don't even talk proper!"

ffs, Shetty's English was impeccable!

whitebear i think thath's called an oxymoron?
Double negatives are positive things.
don't fetch me into it ffs
everton how can two negative become positive things?

have you tried putting two negative magnets together??
I don't think anyone has posted a double negative, yet.

" ... absolute no no " is not a double negative. It's a single negative, but emphasised by repitition.

A double negative is where ...

Instead of saying:

"Your black dress would look appropriate tonight"

You say:

"Your black dress would not look inappropriate tonight"

Some people feel that the latter example sounds more sophisticated. In reality, it is just awkward sentence construction.
I seem to remember in school (a long time ago now) that 2 negatives made a positive.
I could be wrong though, as I've slept since then.
Incidentally, two negatives can easily become a positive.

-3 x -3 = 9

... for example.
^^See^^
Nyer nyer nee nyer nyer.
;-)
