Why do most people moan about labour and say they won't vote for them?  a lot of people moan about the war and Tony Blair and disagree with a lot of things he has done.  Yet, I bet labour will win the election.  It makes me cross that these moaners still vote. . .I don't get it :S

I have friends who moaned about the war some time ago and Tony Blair, most now say the war will not affect the way they vote and the fact that Howard and Kennedy have tried to make it an election issue proves they are finding it difficult to challenge Labour on their other policies, this has made them more determined to vote Labour. I think the economy is the most important issue.
I agree with both of you.  I feel that most of the issues chosen by the Tories and Lib Dems are not the big ones: for example MRSA (I think would have happened whoever was in government).  The big one is the economy: it is pretty good.  All in all I think we have it pretty good at the moment.  As for the war: I'm not sure what I think, again it could have happened to the Tories, but I don't want to use my vote as a punishment.

I don't get it either MissCommando. How can anyone vote for a party that is responsible (with Bush) for the deaths of more than 100, 000 innocent people in Iraq. The war was illegal and based on lies - Blair should be in prison, not standing for election.

How can anyone (rod, morg) think that a few tweaks to our taxes is a more important consideration than that!

By the way, I am not advocating voting Conservative or Liberal instead - they are all the same as far as I am concerned. But yes - we should punish Blair for his crimes against humanity.

Yes, reminds me of the old Socialist Worker headline "Vote Labour But Build the Fighting Socialist Alternative".

Even old lefty hypocrite weasel Billy "I love Muliticulturalism - that's Why I Live in Dorset" Bragg is urging people to tacticly vote Lib Dem to make sure Labour get back in again.

Also I know a lot of fake working class people who pretend they have some emotional attachment to Labour because of their background - which is actually 100% Proof middle class.

it seems these days, voting for our future government is no longer taken seriously.we all moan alot, but very few people these days actually do much about the problems.i believe a different party in government is a neccesity,at least every two terms in office,if only to bring about change or as has happened to the britain we now live in we become unsure of ourselves afraid of change, with the better the devil we know attitude.yes their is so much better about the britain we now live in than 20 or even 30 years ago.but that does not mean we should become complacent. look at the state the national health service is in.........then our poor pensioners....then law and order...etc...etc..come on britain lets make all our votes count. i've mentioned no particular party as it is your vote your choice, men and women fought hard to get it....please use it this term....
