skidVid xvid files

I've downloaded a video of take that for my granddaughter - skidVid xvid, but cant convert it on to disc to play on her dvd player at home.

Is their a programme that i can download - it plays on my computer on Divx player fine.

I've tried convertxtodvd but it piculates and is unwatchable. I hope you can understand and help. - thanks

This converts divx/avi to dvd.

It works perfect on Div X player on my computer, but piculates on windows media player, i tried to convert using convert x to dvd - audio fine but picture piculates.

downloadvlc media player

it gives far better volume than divx player and better than windows media player

i download terminator series , ross kemp in afghanistan and 24 .all from mininova and they always play on vlc better than the others

Don`t know what else to suggest, I`d missed the part of your question about convertX. Either that or sothink should work with xvid. maybe it`s something to do with the skidVid, I`ve never come across this.

One thing springs to mind is that the skidvid may be a low resolution video and when converted may play ok on a monitor but blown up to view on a tv screen you will see a lot more pixellation. You tube videos are generally ok on the reduced viewing area but expand to full screen and the imperfections become more obvious.

I've always found convertxtodvd gives the best results
