All RAF aircrew wore a brevet; pilots had two wings while other aircrew brevets consisted of a single wing with a laurel wreath at its base enclosing the initials of their role.
In the case of Flying Officer Archibald Ives, his brevet has the letters AG indicating his role as Air Gunner.
