Hi - we're in the middle of selling some land to a property developer. The offer has been accepted and our solicitors has sent an email saying before we spend the money they need to finalise details such as funding and calendar (Julian or Gregorian). Could anyone explain why the calendar is important???

Maybe the land has some sort of long lease (999 years- not sure if that's allowable though) or covenant or something which has dates involved, and the exact end date will depend on whether the original documents were based on the old Julian calendar of the newer Gregorian one

Hmmm- as far as I know it's just a simple sale. It's an old office with land attached that we've managed to get planning permission for 9 new houses on. The chap buying it is a builder. Thanks for replying.
