Did you ever spend years searching for the right foundation, only for the cosmetic company to discontinue it and subsequently fail to replace it with anything halfway simliar or decent. Or any product for that matter?

I get really cheesed off when this happens.

I wish Lancome would bring back Maquidouceur and Rouge Absolu no 82!

Hi NoMercy, I loved a particular colour in Chanel's foundation and used it for years until they discontinued it, the bu66ers! I found it in New York but they said when they run out, they run out and then thats it! There isnt another colour in their range that comes close...either too pale or too dark. Far too annoying!

Here's one sensible answer. I too am old enough for this to have happened many times. I have oily skin and always liked good matt coverage so preferred a compact type you put on with a wet sponge. Every favourite was discontinued and once I'd found a replacement that went too - max factor pancake in nouveau beige, then a Lancome one I can't remember the name, Rimmel then Kanebo. I've got boxes full of other brands that looked awful when I got them home. Exactly the same story with lipsticks. It's maddening.
