On my 4to5 year old PC XP home I have spell Checker on Outlook Express, but on the 2 year old Laptop XP media pro. nothing.
How can I get spell checker on the lap top. TIA

The spell checker usually uses the word dictionary, so maybe you haven't got word installed.

Please don't install google toolbar... it's pretty much classed as malware!!

as postdog said there is no spell checker in outlook express, it will use the office one if it's installed, if you have office on your main PC you should have the disk for it, install it on your laptop as well, your allowed to install it on your main computer and a laptop under the terms of the license.
