I've just registered to MSN Hotmail. Can anyone tell me if there's an alert sounder for incoming mail instead of checking manually every 5 mins?!

If you use MSN messenger then you'll receive a little message when you are sent an email.

There is. You have to set the alert to on. Go to Tools on messenger and the options. Go to Alerts & Sounds in this section and set the options you want.

Agreed, Messenger alerts me when I receive anything sent to my hotmail address.

Apologies, i'm using the latest version, MSN messenger 7.0. This one does have the option to change alert settings.

"5029" - there isn't an alert IN hotmail (i.e. the website), but there is a way of having Messenger (as I've demonstrated and doubtless millions around the globe employ) alert you to messages sent to hotmail.
Do we agree with this much so far?
