Warm air re-distribution

My house has a split-level ground floor. The kitchen and living-room are on the lower level and a dining room 1 metre higher entered through an opening up some stairs and in which is a very efficient wood burning stove which makes the dining area very warm - too much so sometimes. I have heared that there is a system ( I believe fan-operated) which allows higher hot air to be re-distributed to a lower level. Anyone any info. on this please?

a small ducting system is required - you can make this up yourself (use vent axia system 50 - available from builders merchants) and a small inline fan. not initially cheap, but a good long term investment.
