deborah......yes of course....if your husband has cut himself shaving, then a piece of newspepper will stem the flow temporarliy.

He cut himself on the hand with a knife, then reached for the pepper, saying that it would stem the flow, i didnt quite believe him.

I used to put pepper on cuts....... cuts of lamb, cuts of beef, cuts of pork...

Not anymore though, I stick to salads now, that`s why I`m a size 8

I put talc on cuts when i cut my legs shaving, a good thick layer stems the flow!
